TEAM 7, CHAMPION

Team No. 7 (Pink) copped the championship in the First BHSAA Intercolors held during the Holy Week in Banton. Team No. 4 (Orange) took first runner-up honors while Team No. 3 (White) bagged the third prize. The winning teams received trophies and cash prizes of P 5,000.00, P 4,000.00 and P 3,000.00 respectively.

 

Ingkit Fadriquela (Team 7) was chosen Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Guards Jesel Feudo (Team 5) and PJ Fabonan (Team 4), Forwards Mark Familara and Ingkit Fadriquela (both Team 7) and Center Roel Fabula (Team 1) comprise the Mythical Five.

 

The following were awarded special prizes: Best Uniform - Team 6 (Green), Most Cooperative - Team 3 (White).

 

All ten teams participated. The teams were grouped into two. In Group A, Teams 3, 4 and 5 posted identical 3-1 win-loss card while Team 0 and Team 8 lost 3 and 4 games respectively. Teams 3 and 4 advanced to the semi-finals by virtue of a higher quotient. In Group B, Teams 1, 2 and 7 also posted identical 3-1 win-loss card while Team 6 managed to win 2 games and Team 9 lost all its 4 games. Teams 7 and 1 advanced to the semis after application of the tie-breaking system. 

 

Team 7 beat Team 3 and Team 4 topped Team 1 in the cross-over semis to barge into the championship round.
